Okay, so before you remove this post, I didn't know where else to share. This story made me cry a bit and I wanted to share it. Because this man deserves so much love. I thought posting here so if you so wish, you can send some his way as well.

And the poor guy can't even report it to the police and see justice against the man who raped him because he'd be thrown in prison for homosexuality. Man, fuck this world.

Yeah we totally need rights in the vast majority of countries where we don't lack anything the average citizen has anyway. What rights are we fighting for?! Who knows! Who cares?! Details and specifics don't matter! We just have to be BRAVE & STUNNING WOKE ACTIVISTS, YOU GUYS!

In this case specifically it's more about how rape is seen as shameful & a man getting raped is not possible or means he is inferior, I'd say it's way more rooted in sexism than anything, but sure, let's use someone's horrible experience to make it all about our first world problems, right guys?

Not really. OP of the post mentioned in the comments he's in the middle east so not exactly a "first world problem" if it's a situation where he's in legitimate danger if he tries to report what happened. We don't have all the details but it's a bit ironic of you to attempt satire with your "details and specifics don't matter" when you yourself didn't bother to get the details of what's happening here.
