It's kinda funny to see them fighting each other. I've seen many cis gay guys who are huge supporters of drag queens and they're also huge supporters of TQ+. One of the things they say to defend drag queens is that transpeople are fine with it.

These guys would probably have to take sides if they get confronted with articles like this one.

IMO the popularity of drag queen in recent years has been to the gay community a big source of negativity, pro-queer narratives, and confusion about gender non conformity. In this "battle" I side with neither group, though I guess at least drag queens tend to be cis gay men, unlike the TQ.

It's crazy because their own reasoning does not even mention transgender people. I've been to a party similar to this and the men all had to put way more effort into the swap than the women. I think the ACTUAL issue might be that the results are a little too on the nose that what the MtFs think is a real "gender identity" is being mocked as over the top. Notice that they don't mention how FtMs feel about women dressing up either.
