The gender studies ones were generally more correct but the standard pleb transpeople didn't really understand the difference any more than a regular person did.

A lot of politics really doesn't come down to correctness or truth. It's really just comes down to power politics and social engineering. Do you think any of those "correct" gender studies people will be correcting the masses that are behind them on these issues? Nope. They've won that ground so they're just off to push the agenda somewhere else with their apologia. If they are confronted on it sure they might throw some TRA idiots under the bus but they're not off lecturing your average mindnumb progressive about the differences between "male vs man" once they're already on their side. Their goal was to get political influence and power, and now that they're gaining momentum they don't care about the narratives from 2 years ago.

I think people often fasten the lens of "truth" or "rationality" too tightly onto their face when dealing with politics. I run into too many people who are in a state of delusion that humans are completely rational people and only need to be exposed to certain studies or facts and will change their minds.
