I've been tossing this around in my head for a couple days so I'll throw it out cause it fits.

Our culture, by and large has moved steadily into a mode of having things rather than being something. We have been lead to believe that our happiness can be achieved through having the right stuff, buying the right things, watching the right shows on Netflix. And this extends onto romance as well, we are lonely and desire sex and seek out casual sex on apps like Tinder. It's in the words we use as well if you pay attention, we HAVE sex, but are IN love. Modern people stitch together an identity through the things that we consume. Having things and consuming things depends on other parties, you need someone to sell you things, you need someone else to have sex with. But because my love for my wife is in a sense a way of being, a part of who I am, it is dependent on no one, not even her.

Enter the trans genderqueer non-binary ideology. Being a member in these groups seems to very much something people HAVE. Pronouns are something people have. They create their identity solely through this ideology. They get incredibly upset and cry violence when someone denies their identity, because unlike having a nice car or favourite Netflix show, if I deny that their identity is "valid" in some sense they not longer have it.

That is very different than gay or straight people, and I'd include based transwomen and transmen as well. If someone wants to tell me I am not straight it has no value, because being straight is something I am, not something I have. It is not dependent on anyone else or anything.

Our culture

And that is true, as it seems to be mostly affecting only English-speaking countries, and only middle or above class of people, as other languages may even have no pronounses at all, or be gendered languages.

I mean, my native language is gendered and yet the TQ+ movement (and some feminist movements) try to convince people to go the genderneutral non-binary route. It's even funnier than in English because people are very used to gendered expressions, so you'll see people trying to use the genderneutral neopronouns while still using gendered expressions in the same sentence.

Italian is very gendered. If someone used the plural to describe themselves they would be considered total nutjobs lol

In ukrainian every verb, many word combinations in sentences are gendered, depending on with whom you speak, and in general, all words at all are gendered. So to add "third gender" it will need to change every single word and many word combinations. Maybe in 10 years they will finish doing that, but by 10 years, hopefully, this craze will end :D

My serenade would be very gendered as well :D
