“I definitely think there’s a discussion to be had about how most places in America are made for and cater to straight/cis people. With such few queer spaces available for us to exist freely, we make our own,” Jordan said. “And public sex is part of that because queer people are often othered for how our sex differs from the mainstream—so public sex is a way to use that which for which we’ve been othered to create and exist intimately in our own spaces, even if for a moment.”

Lol Don't use your Kwir identity as an excuse for public indecency. Yeah, this will totally help us with acceptance in the long run...

often othered for how our sex differs from the mainstream [...] and public space is creating intimate own spaces

I can't see here logic. How other people know what "queer people" are doing at home in bed? Why home is not intimate space, but public closet is? Why other people even see "queer people" having sex and saying to that "your way of sex is weird and not normal" in the first place? Does that article makes any sense at all?

Other people don't know what they are doing at home in bed; That's the problem. As they are attention seekers(exhibitionists) who want people to watch them performing, while at the same time condoning their actions. I think it gives them a thrill. They can't get any satisfaction or validation in private. They have to shove it in people's faces obnoxiously to get off. This person is just trying to argue(badly) for the license to have sex in public.

If sex in public will be licensed and ignored, they will stop doing it then.
