I personally had no idea this shit was percolating until I got on Reddit. I was in a long relationship, had a small group of friends that were couples, raised my kids to adulthood, worked full time and only went on Twitter for politics only (still do). I haven’t been to Pride since the late 1980’s. I’m second wave, knew we had a hell of a way to go to gain any equality with men but felt that progress had been made. I never understood why the T was tacked onto the Pride flag but life was too busy to really pay attention.

I am floored on a daily basis that men decided that they were women (not drag like back in the day when I came out), act like assholes, made up their very own science and statistics and the woke went along with it and still do. The sheer ugliness of their vitriol is breathtaking. No limits, no boundaries. They act out with impunity.

I actually feel pretty horrible about it. I finally recovered from my last relationship and had thought about dating again. I was thinking that surely, there must be another older lesbian (butch please) recovered from hers (or finished grieving the death of her partner) and might be ready to date a still nice-looking femme (I think so). My friends are all coupled (and their friends). Now I read that dating apps that are supposed to be for lesbians, ban women if they say they won’t date TIMS.

Honestly between the TRAS, TIMS, TIFS and Trump, my head feels like it will explode.

My dear lesbian friend, I feel you. Take 3 deep breaths as needed. Don't let them win -- just go on the dating apps and don't disclose you don't want "girl dick". When someone tells you they are trans, just after a few more sentences write that you aren't feeling any chemistry between you and them. I end with "I wish the future brings you everything you deserve" -- hahahaha . . . evil grin. No, really, karma is real and they will get theirs.

Go live your life. There are still lots of nice (butch) women out there waiting to meet you. Take heart. :)
