Gay rights movement date back to the end of the 19th century in Europe, and I think the 1920s in the USA. Look up the history of gay and lesbian culture in the 1920-1930 in Berlin and Paris for example. We didn't just spring into existence with the Stonewall riots.

Marsha or lets call him by his proper name, Malcolm, debunked it himself.

In interviews, he said he never got there until after riots started and he also identified as a gay man who cross-dressed as a drag queen and a sex worker.

Stormé DeLarverie, a butch lesbian woman of color, was said to have started the Stonewall riots. Her struggle with the police as she was being removed from the bar prompted the crowd of bystanders to fight back. She called out, "Why don't you guys do something" as she was thrown into a police wagon and the crowd went wild. They say she threw the first punch.

England and Wales decriminalised sodomy in 1967 - 2 years before Stonewall. The French decriminalised sodomy in 1791. Thailand decriminalised sodomy in 1956. Japan decriminalised sodomy in 1880.

The Gay world didn't begin in New York in 1969.

There were already marches happening before Stonewall(and probably much farther back than this and in other countries). Notice the distinct absence of "Trans" prime movers in the article.
