At a time when it seems we have more medical problems than ever, and more people are dependent on the medical industry than ever, this is NO TIME to destroy people's trust.

When I see that, I just throw out everything Lancet has to say from now on. Same with NPR, PBS, major universities, government spokespeople, every "authority" -- if you can't continue to acknowledge biological reality like we've done from our origins, then you can't be trusted about anything.

You might say, well, you'd still take your car to a great mechanic even if you found out he was a Creationist. True. But I'm not taking medical advice from those who don't grasp male and female, and I'm not getting any "news" from those who deny our biological realities either.

I would, but I wouldn't go to that mechanic if he believed cars were one of the animals created by God. Someone's beliefs only offend me if they're relevant to the facts associated with their profession.

Similarly, I agree, I wouldn't get medical advice from people who don't understand biological sex.
