LOL, censorshipment, you & I have disagreed on many threads, but I am flattered that you posted this.

BTW, in case you or others here don't know, Liberace as a teen/young man worked as assistant to the fabulous internationally famous radio and supper club sensation, and lesbian icon, Hildegarde Loretta Sell, aka "The Incomparable Hildegarde." Several trademarks of Liberace's stage act & schtick, such as the hokey wink & the risqué repartee, were stolen from hers.

Anyone interested in the history of lesbians and other "gender non-conforming" women should look up Hildegarde.

Also, Little Richard used to call himself "the bronze Liberace."

Thanks for the info and video. I don't even bother debating with you because you remind me of my mom/aunts who are waaaay smarter than me. I don't want you arguing with a fool (me). 😋

She has a lovely voice!

Censorshipment, you're no fool. At all.

I suspect you & I will continue disagreeing on many points about what happened in the past & what is happening today. But still, I hope/want you to know that I think your voice is strong, lovely & much needed even when it bothers me & others of my ilk and we have/present a different view.

As a child, I was a fan of singer Sylvester who was a gay gnc man. I'm so happy he never identified as a woman.

Some background on Sylvester, one of the many unique, talented individuals to die of AIDS in the 1980s:

BTW, she supposedly was the first star to go by one name.
