People really don't think women are underdogs anymore...

I think there have been coordinated efforts from multiple sides to push this narrative that women are "privileged" compared to men-- it's been going on for decades. Consider how Rush Limbaugh's term "feminazis" has become mainstream.

The Manosphere narrative (not saying Rush Limbaugh is one of them) is full of this insanity: "Women trick men into marrying them just to divorce them and take their stuff. And in court, the woman gets everything. It doesn't make sense for a man to marry."

Oh, and women are only in the workplace to claim sexual harassment and again cash in on it.

Trans sissification fantasies seem to bleed over into non-trans men's decision to paint themselves as victims.
