No. I'm sure in the future we'll be able to decide our preborn child's sex - if we have enough money to do do.

But what you're suggesting is altering the dna of an adult individual. It's not impossible, but if we learn to do that, then we'll also be able to give ourselves cat eyes, feathers, claws, or scaley skin. This is just science fiction. If it'll happen, it'll be WAY longer than one century from now. We'll probably have gone extinct by then.

I think there is already the technology to chose a child's sex, but it's not easily accessible to everyone.

What I find revolting is how the transhumanists NEVER seem to explain exactly HOW they will create their "utopia". The eugenicists and their Nazi fans had lofty goals that claimed to "benefit humanity", but used flagrantly inhumane ways to try to reach them. There's no other way to "experiment" on human beings except to force them, coerce them, trick them into consenting.

Not to really chose sex, but make one way or other to be much more likeable to happen, and then check sex very early and make abortion if it failed.

And considering that in many countries dozen millions girls are aborted to have "first baby to be a boy" in family - you know exactly how this technology will be used.

However, all this still not allows and will never allow to change DNA and sex of already born person.

Furthermore, even if you alter DNA of already developed human - NOTHING will change (well, the only change that will happen is that such person will just die very-very fast, as body was not built to support such genes, so it will starte many cancers very fast, or just straigh up fail to function).

Body will not magically re-arrange themself. New organs would not magically be created. Old organs will not dissapear. Body shape and form will not be changed. For that to happen - DNA must be changed within first few days of pregnancy.

So it is not just "fantasy of sci-fi", it is dreaming of something impossible in principle. It is like dreaming that our tech will be able to change laws of universe - like, it is not possible, but even if it will be possible, that will just destroy world.
