They all keep repeating "transwomen have it so much harder than cis women". If it were true, you wouldn't have to say it ad nauseam and could actually point to some evidence. Plus, none of the comments actually have any answers to the "holes in the narrative" the OP complains about, it's all just "yeah but it's so tough being trans!" or "but terfs suck, poor us". And you know why? Because TRA proselytizing is based on a bunch of lies, you can't argue reality away.

Also, to the TiMs who claim they actually deal with sexism and misogyny too. Nah, you don't. You deal with people being revolted when they see a man awkwardly and deludedly pretending to be a woman.

Homophobia really.

From some quarters, yes it's surely homophobia. But many out & proud gay males display the same or similar revulsion to males who pretend to be women, so it's a bit more complicated.

Many males, gay, straight and bi, feel deep disgust and animus towards other men they see as "unmanly," whether or not such men are pretending to be women.

But at the same time, many males - especially nowadays - of all sexual orientations, feel enormous sympathy for males who are pretending to be women. In response to their brethrens' plight, these males take the position that girls & women are duty-bound to open up our spaces, services & sports to anyone of their sex who claims/desires to be a girl/woman.

YES. Essentially they still see us as second class citizens.
