    I'm mixed-race from two mixed-race parents: white with a race that has black-hair, brown eyes and brown skin.

    You did put "white" in your comment and I was just initially pointing out that, on average, white-majority countries tend to treat women better.

    Our exchange, with me pointing out a fact, and then having an exchange with another poster who is also older and who also tends to stick to the facts, and you responding with an ad hominem attack, is IMO why across the world societies have become so polarized: people intent on social justice, a very commendable goal in itself, these days tend to manipulate facts to suit their argument and don't counter with facts, just personal attacks.

    The gender lobby is a prime example of this: TiMs have a lower chance of being murdered than the general population, and in the UK, have a higher chance of being the murderer, but we hear nonstop from politicians, organizations and the media, that there is an EPIDEMIC of TiMs being murdered.

    Any woman who points out that, er, no TiMS are actually safer than women, gets called a TERF and threatened with rape and death.

    People on the other side do the same. Donald Trump creates his own fact-free zone about 90% of the time, and his adherents lap up his lies.

    But what I said was factual and an addendum to your comment, because I am frankly sick of the polarization around race and have the advantage of having traveled and lived in many countries, so have seen how women are treated in many other areas of the world.

    And seriously, I grew up in the era of Martin Luther King so judging people (which I don't tend to do anyway) because of the "content of their character rather than color of their skin" is my nature, and, as a result, I have friends across the color, nationality, religious and socio-economic spectrum, which, in my opinion, is how it should be.

    BTW: what is "white"? If you look at the history of race in the US, you'll find that, for instance, Italians often weren't considered "white." The Irish, who are often translucent, were treated horribly.

    Also, I think that "white" people, however they are defined, should have the right to point out facts. It is immaterial to this debate that I am mixed-race.

    Anyway, this should be a space free of name-calling. I don't particularly mind - I've lived through much worse, but please respect your fellow posters. Thank you, and I mean that sincerely.

    Huh? I don't know what you mean by the claim that the topic at hand here is WHITE. White what?

    In fact, the topic of this thread is white women being slagged off by men for being white. The race of the men doling out the condemnation is immaterial, coz men of all ethnicities and races slag off women of all races and ethnicities. And some men who are white and some men who aren't white see white women as the lowest of the low - and now such men are being given free rein to publicly excoriate white women just on account of the women's race. Indeed, in many circles this is now encouraged and applauded.

    No one here made an issue of Bill Burr's or Pete Davidson's own race until you came along and did so. No poster even mentioned Burr's race - or Davidson's until you said
