I've started to report any encouragement of giving pronouns in intros at work to HR as homophobic dogwhistles. Rules of engagement learned.

How are you able to convince them that homophobic isn't somehow "transphobic"? Do they make you explain? It seems so commonsense, but that's so rare now.

Yeah, you really have to go in and choose your words carefully. Cite numerous sources of TRA violence, the Cotton Ceiling, and just emphasize that you're not trying to caue problems, but that seeing that kind of indoctrination in the workplace gives you panic attacks - hint about flashbacks of "private religious homophobic trauma", or something else equally private-yet-grave that they have no right to inquire further into. As always, find other particularly gays/lesbians if possible to band together on this

How do you put it across? Genuinely interested.

"This is a topic which I feel has marginalized and overtly attacked gay and lesbians people for both who they are and for their sexual orientation." (mention Cotton Ceiling, provide VERY clear references, mention that it makes you feel EXTREMELY unsafe)
