So it already passed? I don't think the governor signed it (?)

<This bill would would, commencing January 1, 2021, require the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to, during initial intake and classification, ask each individual entering into the custody of the department to specify the individual’s gender identity and sex assigned at birth, and, if the individual’s gender identity is different from their sex assigned at birth, their gender pronoun and honorific. The bill would prohibit the department from disciplining a person for refusing to answer or not disclosing complete information in response to these questions. The bill would authorize a person under the jurisdiction of the department to update this information. The bill would prohibit staff and contractors from failing to consistently use the gender pronoun and honorific an individual has specified in verbal and written communications with or regarding that individual that involve the use of a pronoun or honorific.>

I don't understand how this stuff works so I idk, but I believe it was passed by the Senate and then it still has to be passed by the Assembly, and if the Assembly doesn't pass it, it returns to the Senate to be modified. I do not know, I'm sorry, I only heard this today from one of the secretaries. Thanks so much for looking this stuff up and informing me.

Please help. I heard that most Assembly members will only consider opinions from their Californian constituents. However, their secretaries will pass-along messages or pleas.

I'm a fella; please excuse me for butting-in.

Edit: btw it's currently 6 pm and the offices closed at 5, so please call tomorrow, they're 9-5.

Even if you're not a California resident, call. And raise hell.

Remind the assembly members, especially the women, that only a few years ago, female California state legislators and lobbyists came forward with a #MeToo letter claiming that there was a climate of sexual assault and harassment in the CA state legislator.

So why do the legislators, who faced their own sexual harassment and assault in the halls of the legislature itself(!) think that somehow, miraculously, men will not sexually assault and harass women in prison?

And if you are not a conservative, please tell the assembly members office, because the Trans Demand Activists have somehow managed to convince the California state legislature that only Christian conservatives care about women's safety.

I suspect this shit is happening exactly because of #MeToo. To remind us women that we are just objects, whom must always be pleasing to men. Otherwise, they will find ways to ensure we are put back in our place.

If I can find a link to the #MeToo letter that the female California state legislators and lobbyists put out I will link it, because we need to expose these hypocrites.

These powerful women - making laws for the state of California - were complaining about their own sexual harassment and assault yet they have no problem turning around and yanking the basic human rights of the unfortunate women in California's prisons, and exposing these very vulnerable not just to verbal harassment, but to rape.

And, as needs to be repeated over and over, transgender "women" will never face the threat of forced impregnation - I feel that whenever we women talk about TIMs in women's spaces we need to bring this fact up.

These men can LARP as women all they want, but they will never face the very real threat that almost every woman faces from the time she's about 12 until the time she's about 50 - forced impregnation. And in many countries, forced reproductions because the woman will not have the option to abort.

So please use that argument when you speak to lawmakers - if these women in jail get raped, they also could get pregnant, and what will the state of California do then? What happens in states where tax payers won't fund abortions.

It's friggin' GILEAD.

Also pls tell the lawmakers to think of the LAWSUIT PAYOUTS. Idiots...
