The one person I know who became a transwoman is not acting against women or to destroy women's rights. I think there needs to be a clear distinction made between the activism and the people. Any activist group is composed of people with different views and different temperaments. I'm a vegan, for example, but I'm not the type of vegan to shout at people or even make judgmental comments. To the extent that I am an activist I might hand out informative pamphlets or let people know about the links between meat-eating and climate change. But I'm used to people assuming I'm going to shout at them because of the more militant activists.

I am not saying that every TIM is actively trying to work against women's rights; I am saying that these men perpetuate gender stereotypes of women that are harmful, even when they are not part of the group that has lost its collective minds.

I am definitely not happy with the types of gender stereotypes in our society, but I'm not going to lay the blame at the feet of trans people. Corporate America bears a huge amount of the responsibility for these stereotypes as do actually most mainstream Americans in the ways they raise their kids. If trans identities have latched onto these stereotypes I think it's maybe out of utility or being so steeped in the normative culture than for any nefarious purpose.
