Banning a female-majority subreddit dedicated to issues directly affecting women is silencing women. Reddit can do as it pleases, of course, but the move to ban GC is part of a larger issue. We are being excluded from discussions related to our safety as females. Subreddits claiming to be for “all women” simultaneously boast that “TERFs” are not allowed, meaning that any woman who dares to have even the slightest criticism of trans politics is excluded under the guise that her words are equivalent to “literal violence.” It means that there can never be a discussion, because apparently avoiding the offense of a man is paramount to the self expression of a woman

The message being sent to us is that we can’t even share perspectives amongst ourselves because we might offend someone.
