Yes, women can be violent, too. However, there are far more violent men.

Here is a chart showing the percentage of female inmates with data from 2010. Maldives had the biggest percentage of female inmates at 21%, but even that is an anomaly. Females represent 10% or less of prison population in most countries.

If we look at recent numbers from England and Wales, women make up just 4% of sentenced inmates. Yet "transwomen" make up around 80% of trans identified inmates. And you have to keep in mind that females are less likely than males to be sentenced for violent crimes, too.

At England and Wales again, 99& of sex offenders are males.

A 2011 study from Sweden about trans identified people who undergone full "SRS" also found that males who identify as trans retain male patters of criminality.

The fact males prisoners outnumber female ones by a large margin also means that recording some males as "females" because they identify as such data regarding differences between men and women's criminality will be distorted.
