I think they're marginalized. So are GC women, but the experience of being gender critical in New York City is going to be particularly negative. That's one of the "wokest" places on earth. Most of the country is not so liberal. I wouldn't want to be trans in a conservative state. Their experiences are not pleasant.

What worries me is the aggressiveness of no-platforming and cancel culture. It's reached beyond the woke enclaves like your city and spread out to the rest of the world. Even if no one would fire me for being GC where I live, I was still affected by the Reddit banwave. I'm still affected by the media's pushing of affirmation of transgender children and the erasure of GNC women.
