The censorship has always been terrible, but it's gotten worse recently. It's really a hive mind. They do still allow sex-critical comments, so sometimes I was pleased when we could get a group of women who agreed on that and called it out, but just as often there would be huge threads with masses of women talking about how much they love to be hit and choked by men.

The sad thing is abuse can do that--break you down so much that you think you actually like being abused. Either that or it was a bunch of men pretending to be women; I have seen MRAs actually admit to pretending to be extremely submissive housewives online to recruit women into thinking that is what they want >:(

I got a comment deleted for saying I hated the man child trope in tv shows. Apparently man child is a gender slureyeroll

Ha, I wasn't aware "man child" was a gendered slur.

One thing I did like about AskWomen is that they did enforce the rules against actual gendered slurs like "slut" and "bitch." It was nice to be able to read posts there without coming across those words.

It was a mod with a male username too, It felt like they where just banning words they didn't like. I also really appreciated the no words like bitch or slut, it started getting bad when they started including dick or prick in there, those are just not equivalent.
