Amateur radio station is getting better organized. I am ready to help people if they call for help. In the past week I made radio contacts with men in the nearest city and with others in neighboring cities. Electricity used for radio contacts was produced off-the-grid at home using a solar panel.

Can you listen to marine radio using your ham radio?

Just fyi, I understand that you can only xmit using marine radio while you are on the water..

In case of social breakdown, you might want to have a marine radio so you can communicate with ships..

I am currently in Arkansas, so I am not close to the sea. Perhaps you mean well. There will be social breakdown, but I am prepared to communicate with God through prayer. There will also be EMP attacks, so I do not know how long these radios will be functional. God is always able to save, but he requires repentance. When the social breakdown, as you call it, happens, men will only have time to fight for survival and will find it almost impossible to repent and to begin to trust the Lord for all their needs, since they have not made time to practice their faith. It's best to repent now and do not delay to receive Jesus as your Savior.
