People who care won't run windows 11 at all.

It comes pre-installed on all new laptops. Not much escaping it, unless you want to go Mac (bleh) or Linux (on a laptop?! no way).

I have Linux on a laptop and I have an old MacBook Pro. They both run like a Swiss watch compared to Windows.

The iOS windowing system is exquisitely stupid, but getting used to it is worth it. The Apple OS and hardware are years if not decades more advanced than any Wintel garbage.

Why would anyone not install Linux on a laptop?

Have you ever fucking tried? Sound doesn't work, wifi doesn't work, the function keys don't work, it's a disaster. Shocked you'd even say that tbh.

Amazon sells a little cover that sticks on overtop your web cam. It's like 4$ for 3. I've used them since 2010. 99.9% of the time it's closed.

    Totally missing the point here.

I get it. It's the best you can do with what you got.

I dropped $25k on a POS system last year. Both units run windows 10. The software is windows only and I doubt I'll find drives for the peripherals. I also have a photo printer and have searched high and low for a full featured drive to no avail. Linux is not an option.

Also, I have employees who still have trouble putting an attachment to an email, I doubt they could handle Linux. They can barely operate their iPhone.

Linux is nowhere near main stream ready. I truly wish it was but it's not. It's not a viable option to replace windows for most people and businesses.
