Thanks for sharing this, and for introducing me to Data over Dogma. It's like a Sunday bible school where the usual ministers have been replaced by theologians who specialize in exegesis, with excellent reverences.

I think it helps especially to explain what murder was in antiquity, as well as interpretations of personhood. Indeed, life does not begin at conception, as the ancient Hebrew, Greek, (and Egyptian, re. heartbeat) writings about life note that it happens at birth.

I've been really enjoying some of the episodes.

Not all of them are as fascinating as others. But i found "God's Wife", "So many Gods", and "Number of the best" particularly engaging listening.

Though simple enjoyment is not the pinnacle of human existence, you should try enjoying the silence of an empty room or open meadow.
