Why do conservatives pretend to support "free speech" until someone burns an American flag, supports Hamas, calls for the killing of Jews or advocates legalizing pedophilia, after which they turn into the most psychotic pro-censorship freaks on earth?

Most people are hypocrites. It goes beyond political sides or modern ideologies. I don't agree with any of those points made in the title, but I'd like for people to be able to express them freely so I can know who to avoid and not want to be around.

No, it's cultural. Modern culture is fundamentally intolerant and dishonest. Talk to religious Muslims or conservative Mennonites for a contrast.

Some people these days are afraid of saying what political side they’re on just by how easily some people will turn against other people for the political side they’re on.
