I work for a very large IT company that I am sure Reddit uses our products. Our office NAT IP address is blocked by Reddit, yet we have several very busy subreddits modded by employees. Reddit has gotten to big for their own good.

Maybe if you're distinguished enough, they actually investigate shared-ip bans. An nobody like you are me just gets swept up in the algorithm, and denied an appeal by a bot.
