What came first, Egg or chicken?

Till date no one has produced any logical answer of this question, why is so? 🤔

Eggs predate chickens by many, many millions of years. Of course it's the egg.

All chickens come from eggs, but not all eggs come from chickens. Therefor the egg came first.

This has been answered many times before. The predecessor to the chicken laid the first chicken egg, which hatched the first chicken. So obviously, the egg came first.

But are chicken eggs eggs that hatch into chickens or eggs laid by chickens?

Doesn't matter. Many species of animals come from eggs, so the egg came first.
