Yeah that's why I thought it was weird. It was spread out. One in Florida, one in Georgia, two in Kentucky. To be fair it was all within one week on two different trips. Haven't seen one since, maybe it was just the quantity in such a short period of time that struck me funny?

I've grown away from giving away my money. Way too many bullshitters and lazy asses ruined it for everyone for me, I don't take the time to discern what's good anymore. I remember a guy telling me at a gas station once some story about getting back to his family in Chicago blah blah, I'm from there so I asked him what neighborhood he lived in and he stood there, so I asked him what street he lives on, he said some name I never heard of, so I said "Oh right over there by the U of I," and he said, yup. If you're going to lie, at least be good at it.
