Why do alt news sites use Disqus a very VERY ultra left platform?

The soft power of Cloudflare... if those sites use Disqus they will be allowed to operate freely... if they don't use Disqus and allow unrestricted comments, they will be removed from the general internet and have their DNS records and SSL certificates revoked. After they get to a certain size and notoriety.

Saidit started getting massively DDOSed every single day as soon as we reached above rank 200,000 or so on alexa.com site ranking

Shouldn't Saidit be hosted on I2P then with the clients working with local caches to keep the latency down?
DDOS defence is expensive. Hosting on I2P can be done by every schmuck.

You don't have visibility there.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a web-presence too for marketing purposes, but the web-presence should at most be something that could be given up at a moment's notice, because it can be taken away by any government whenever they want.
The rules on saidit say they abide by US rules, which means that long term this can't ever remain a place for free speech.
