Saidit started getting massively DDOSed every single day as soon as we reached above rank 200,000 or so on alexa.com site ranking

Shouldn't Saidit be hosted on I2P then with the clients working with local caches to keep the latency down?

DDOS defence is expensive. Hosting on I2P can be done by every schmuck.

We already have free anti-DDOS

If it depends on an external company, it's not free. It just might not have a monetary cost.

Running in-house anti-DDOS is not possible unless you have at least $100k+ in servers and a very expensive internet connection

On the web, but on I2P you can do that.

You don't have visibility there.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a web-presence too for marketing purposes, but the web-presence should at most be something that could be given up at a moment's notice, because it can be taken away by any government whenever they want.

The rules on saidit say they abide by US rules, which means that long term this can't ever remain a place for free speech.
