Ukraine could be used as a proxy by the west NATO/EU againt Russia, its like Russia basically sitting next to a ticking time bomb. I fully understand why Russia made a preemptive strike against a future potential EU/NATO ally. It's just unfortunate only the little people pay the real price.

Yes - though what will result from the invasion will not justify the invasion. There was no serious consideration of Ukraine entering the EU and/or NATO, because of agreements in the 1990s.

I agree with that of course, there's a grey area when it comes to the justification for war be it power for country or self interests. It's obvious Vladimir Putin sees something we all don't, chess peices are being moved now etc, the whole "invasion" seems very reactionary to me.

That's the vibe I get.
