Backstory: The discussion is linked with the post, above. I find this interesting. No reason was given for the ban. To answer the OP's prompt, I note that people should not attack other users and their actions, and that this will help Saidit grow and develop. Responses to this by one user were entirely personal attacks against me. I noted that the comments were breaking rules and have been for 14 months, and caused problems on Saidit, and thus comments like those are in bad fait and are rather stupid. (I was careful not t attack the user, because that's exactly what he wanted me to do, as he deliberately operated in bad faith with his attacks, as always. It's of course in bad faith to make a post like that, while attacking users personally (ad hominim and name calling) in the original post, in the comments, and again in the chat box (at that time - something about me being the spooky "enemy within"). The user knows he'll never be banned. He tries regularly to get users banned and constantly attacks people. I appreciate that this may not be something users want to discuss, but if one wants to discuss the potential growth or death of Saidit, there is an interesting problem here about mod abuse, abuses of users, and the site rules, which are often addressed unfairly.

If anyone wants to discuss Saidit and the POD, and the way to keep users (in general), is it possible that a central problem that resulted in the loss of new Saiditors can be corrected with one rule: allow any comments about comments, but not comments that attack users?

I know many here will likely tell me to go away and to leave Saidit - but perhaps it's worth asking, not for my sake, but for the sake of Saidit in general: isn't this kind of mod abuse the reason why you left Reddit? What if this happened to you also on Saidit? (Consider that there are also users who were banned from Reddit who continue their personal attacks at Saidit.) Do you think this kind of abuse is one of the reasons that users leave Saidit? Would you otherwise like Saidit to remain as-is and for me to STFU and GTFO? I should note that this post isn't about me, but a sort of 'part two' of the question about what will help Saidit grow and develop. Genuinely curious if anyone has an opinion on this.
