I thought 2020 would bring a recession therefore I sold shares midway through the year. How wrong I was.

Sorry to hear you jumped the gun a bit, but I think you still beat most people who will be hit harder next year. I hope you at least sold while up and can reinvest in gold, silver, or impure silver - or crypto.
