It's hard to explain without tripping over a landmine of political baggage. For example if you use the word "sheep" nothing you say can get through to the reader because they are immediately inundated with decades of feelings and opinions and arguments related to people being sheep. But so much of politics is just people trying to fit in that you can't have an honest conversion without addressing it. The people who are the most vocal about their opinions are leftists because (for many reasons) leftist ideology is seen as the norm. The media is all leftists, the school system is all leftists, and everyone is taught that if you aren't a leftist you must be a racist. So leftists are known for attacking anyone who isn't a leftist. And so those people tend to avoid politics, while the leftists find every opportunity to virtue signal.
