Why does America have so many politicians that become wealthier after-office than they were before-office?

The country needs

1)Stronger Insider Trader laws against politicians

2)An income cap of maybe 300-500k a year on politicians that stays on you for life.

3)A dept that audits current and former politicians to make sure that they're not getting gifts and other freebies that go over that 300-500k limit.
