I just watched this movie on parmount plus…… Roget ebert gave the movie 4 stars…… but I thought the movie was major cringe…… what did y’all think of this movie???

[–]KStang086 3 points 4 hours ago I enjoyed the movie. As a first generation who grew up mostly Western the "what-if" theme resonated with me. Additionally, the movie did a good job of avoiding the Hollywood trope of emasculated or gay Asian men and painted him as a handsome and masculine reminder of her native country. Maybe its because I am a slightly older Asian generation but I didn't find it cringe.
