You can help us by donating Bitcoin, Litecoin, or Dogecoin to support AntiExtremes. You can also help by spreading the word about this campaign or donating your time and skills.
its almost like were all the same species. and the idea of race just keeps us divided. but who would want to divide people?
But that's the (small) price we pay for living in a nation (US) with free speech.
It can't be a requirement that all our freedoms come with zero drawbacks.
It's just like the people who come on here and spew racial epithets. That is the price you pay if you want free speech. The solution to speech you don't like is more speech, not Twitter.
Those are rookie numbers.
But I wonder what the stats would be for anti-Christian, anti-white, anti-Islam, etc... using the exact same standards.
Oh a splash screen!

Coincidentally, the survey doesn't compare or ask about other religions. Just thought it was funny, plz don't be haters.
In chess, yes.
Albinos
"we hate the normies"
I agree. But that also doesn't mean that something is correct just because someone hates what's being said. I think some people get that confused and go around upsetting everyone thinking they're on the side of truth because of the reactions they get.
10/10. any time some immature baby brain harps the "hur hate bad" trope ask if hating child rapists is also bad
Wow.
I'm already really good at hating Jews tho. Kind of a connoisseur of Jew hating.
I'm white btw, also whites suck, I'm jewish.
Not my fault, must be black people, hate them right?
Dont you know 99.9% of people have no clue how to run a script on their reddit account?
Israel is far worse than South Africa was.
The South African govt wasn't deliberately terrorizing and murdering the indigenous population, in order to become the demographic majority.
I'm not in any way apologizing for the atrocities of the South African colonization. I'm simply pointing out that the extermination of the indigenous population was not the priority of the South African govt.
They were concerned with resource extraction.
The Israeli govt agenda is the extermination of the indigenous populace, and colonization through "settlements".
This wouldn't happen in Israel, because he would have died at the protest.
I wouldn't worry about it. If you actually hit it we can probably make exceptions.
That's a good reason.
Is there a way to mark subs as exempt from this policy? For example, one-off / test subsaidits like /s/wizzwizz4_css_test_1. I'm not close to the limit, but I'm curious.
Because on reddit there were people that were mods of like 800 subreddits at once. No one can effectively moderate that many, and it's just a power grab
with 10 max
So people can only create 10 subreddits per account? Why?
SJWs vs Alt-Right. We are the third way.
Exactly, you got it! Good points.
Thanks for the explanation. SJWs vs Alt-Right. We are the third way.
I'll never go so far as to say Nazis are good or even tolerable. All power is corrupted evil and there are no good wars. That said, the Nazis were actually the lesser of three evils, the underdog set up (starting from the previous century) and sandwiched between the Russians and the Anglos. Contrary to all the propaganda that makes Americans think they won the war, ignoring the Russian efforts and $20 million dead.
Really, Germany had lost the second world war before the first one even started.
Reddit is so censoring and left-leaning that you can't get a word in edgewise and voat leans so right they literally think the nazis were good. There's a huge gulf in between the two that we hope to fill
What are the Reddit and Voat extremes?
Awesome! I totally get what you mean about voat, haha. Welcome to saidit, glad to have you here
I'd been looking for a replacement to reddit for some time and thought it was either Voat or Reddit. Voat's a little.... yeah. But then saw you on Tin Foil Hat recently and jumped on board!
It rhymed with reddit, it tells people they can have their say, and the URL was available. So that's why we went with it. Sayit.net and sayit.com aren't available for purchase.
Magnora,
What is the philosophy behind "SaidIt" name (or "Said It")?
Why not "Sayit" (or "Say it")? I think it's better name, but whatever - the name has been chosen. Just saying.
Haha. Ironically most of the new reddit refugees are probably anti-refugee in general ;P
I'm aware. My inner Phoebe though is apparently skewed towards "anti-refugee" sooo I'll see myself out while pretending I made a witty joke linking my paranoia to immigration and back to me hiding in anti-extremes not making jokes about immigration because I am paranoid.
Ah yeah, I see! The biggest burst of popularity is in the last few weeks because of this thing on reddit called TheBanout2018 where the reddit admins banned like 50 subs in 2 days and created a bunch of reddit refugees, basically. So some left reddit for voat and some came to saidit.
It must just be that it seems (to me) to have reached the first growth spike since I've been paying attention or something and I just feel out of the loop and....stuff lol
Haha what do you mean exactly?
Dare I say it's difficult to keep the servers run with so little money, so you'd want more traffic. I feel soon enough you'll have to make a choice..do you want to welcome more people or cater to the community?
Voat turned in to an extremist site. I guess reddit did too, but only corporate extremism, which is unfortunately the status-quo culture in mainstream America.
I don't think every site will turn out like reddit. It really comes down to what the admins and mods allow, and I think we've got a really great group of free-thinking people overseeing saidit. People who are more concerned about quality of information than user numbers.
Sadd..but I mean to say, is people the problem it turned into an extremest site? will people always end up like this if reddit had mods and admins like they do? Sorry if not clear
Thanks so much - if you need extra volunteer moderators let me know!
Glad to hear you like it! Welcome to the site!
Such a great system! Focusing from day one on positivity and making sure everyone knows this is a non-bullying, no attacks allowed website. I was on another website (which shall remain nameless) where someone disagreed with something I said but having no justifiable response instead attacked me, my background, my culture and even attacked and insulted my mother! When I requested that the moderator delete that comment they called me a baby, said I needed to fight my own battles and to fight fire with fire. That was when I decided to look for another platform. Thanks for setting up one that will tolerate no abuse. The hierarchy you post for everyone is great!
Yes it did work for antiextremes. I think we did switch it over for saidit, but the downside is it requires your web browser to be in developer mode because we haven't technically published the app yet.
Yo!
Has this been updated? Did it work for the antiextremes.com?
We have developed a RES plugin for this website, called RESAE. It enables all the features of RES, like user tagging, friend tracking, vote per-user tracking, and many many more features that you've come to enjoy from RES. You can install it here:
https://antiextremes.com/r/AntiExtremes/comments/3e/information_about_resae_antiextremes_version_of/
Hmm... what about my past accounts that I can't remember let alone access now?? Ugh lol.
Reddit is basically redesigning the site to make it more ad-friendly, as well as turning a blind eye to mod takeovers and rampant vote-brigading. So we made saidit in reaction to that.
so what changed? howd reddit end up like it is?
:) good test
This comment is only to see if this is true haha. Edit..... success
AGAIN ... and again, and again, until .... gone :0
Does this have anything to do with this site?
Elimination of downvoting can help, but another contributing factor that can help create community is to only give voting rights to those that have a specific amount of karma in a community.
This is a good idea, voat had an idea like this. The end result though is you get groups of people farming karma just so they can upvote. You get whole subs of brigades of people posting garbage just to upvote each other, which is what happened on voat.
I had the idea that maybe there could be levels? And people who are ranked higher have their votes give more points? And you can only ascend to a higher level by getting upvotes from people ranked higher than you? What do you think of that idea
That's an interesting idea, but I also feel that political motivation and shilling is far from the only type of shilling that goes on. I could see this helping, but I don't know if it would solve the issue.
Plus I think subs like news, politics, and worldnews are already moderated in an apolitical manner, according to the admins who run it (even though it's not).
I like your thinking, but your proposed solution seems exactly like what reddit tried to do, which eventually failed unfortunately.
I like where your head is at though.
The Problem: Uninvolved participants can conduct voting brigades, though they do not participate, and are strictly invaders. This can be both purely positive, negative and positive, or both (upvoting, downvoting, or both simultaneously)
The Solution: Elimination of downvoting can help, but another contributing factor that can help create community is to only give voting rights to those that have a specific amount of karma in a community. This can help offset positive upvote brigading too, or, make it slightly more difficult for this to occur.
I call this feature request "No Politically Motivated general subs; explicit identification of political subs"
The Problem: Through incestuous relationships and machinations, a left-wing group of moderators have seized control of many normal subreddits. This has turned many of them into leftist echo chambers, rather than actually interesting subreddits available to everyone. Furthermore, this has led to an attack on opposing narratives in these subreddits and the removal of information, such as the race or religion of a perpetrator. /r/Politics /r/News & /r/Worldnews are examples of these. While generally leftist, there is some of the reverse such as /r/The_Donald/ although it is clearly not generalist.
The Solution: General subs such as news, politics, and worldnews would have to be moderated in an apolitical manner as part of an agreement with the administration, and the administration must keep this intact. The privilege and labor of moderation must be part of an agreement to moderate fairly. General Subs would no longer become the personal fiefdoms of Mods. Politically motivated subs would be permissible, but they would have to explicitly identify as such, and could not be a general sub appealing to all of the userbase. Where possible, Administration would seek to diversify sub moderation by selecting a variety of political views to form a moderation team, rather than an insular group.
Agreed. There used to be voat, but then it went super far-right. Then no new alternatives came along for years. Thankfully now there are a lot of competitors.
I deleted my very long comment history with Reddit. It took several hours but I feel it’s worth it. I feel like more of us need to do it.
Malware distribution is illegal lol.
if it is done via ad networks, the website is not responsible
Reddit clones will probably accelerate the process.
Once one of them gets traction, it will be all over.
Reddit's business model is floundering, so they are trying to do anything to make $
Oh I'm sure it'll be around for years to come, but there will be exoduses and eventually reddit will be like myspace and digg
This will surely bring some backlash, unfortunately, I still don't see reddit completely dying soon.
I would contend nothing has really changed behind the scenes, except now they're forced to admit what they've already been doing. Reddit is pulling every lever it can to make money, and has been for a while.
on its road to literally becoming a corporation.
Literally what does he think Reddit is?
we can ban you.
Reddit has always been able to ban you for any reason.
We can send you malicious javascript attack ads that have the potential to get you banned.
Malware distribution is illegal lol.
We can spy on you in any way we want.
Nowhere does it say that; this depends and has depended entirely on privacy laws.
We can capriciously cancel your account for any reason
Reddit has always been able to arbitrailly ban you whenever.
can even hijack video content as ours, even if its from google -- so we can launder IP this way
Literally what? He has a bad habit of not directly quoting the specific parts he's referring to next to such statements and explaining how he gets from A to B.
I don't really understand how he phrased it, but if content is copyrighted by someone else and you post it, Reddit still has to follow said copyright.
"Your license does not include the right to: license, sell, transfer, assign, distribute, host, or otherwise commercially exploit the Services or Content;" -- I read this as "it doesn't give you a right, because that's what COPYRIGHTS are for"-- I wouldn't worry about this as much as I initially did
His reading is nonsensical. You retain copyright on your content, but you give Reddit some rights regarding its usage by them.
It's like with many open-source license you retain copyright but give others the right to reuse your code.
By the Services and Content they literally mean Reddit itself; the code and stuff which comprises the website. They're saying that you can't reuse their code.
That's our goal, but it's probably going to take 50+ hours of programming to accomplish and we've got other goals to finish. Our priority list has 19 things on it right now
As you created the RES plugin clone why not just add the functionality by default?
Wasn't that the whole point of voat from the beginning?
I quit reddit today. Glad i found this place.
Seems like putt finally got tired of babysitting the circle-jerk of extremist morons over there?
My guess is their server costs were so high that they threw in the towel. Somewhere it said that there haven't been any code changes in months and their hosting costs were skyrocketing with more and more users.
Why they built on Microsoft and hosted with them is beyond me.
Talks of a Hillary vid release... idk rumors.. you would think Q would back the release... but given what was said to be on it I would never suspect it. Something about Huma and Hillary tormenting a teenager for adrenochrome. The details are worse than any horror movie I could conceive.
I wonder what happened over there?
Yea... Pisses me off. We need a great awakening sub here.
No advertising, just donation funded
Glad to see this. It'll be a good show. Is there advertising on here?
Click the color mode change button in the top-right, it's the half black half white square. Welcome to saidit
Ganaram is here. Not digging the black background. Cheers.
Thanks :)
I agree and I like it.
Because the left ruined reddit and the right ruined voat, so we're trying to avoid the extremes. That's where the name anitextremes came from
Why antiextreme
We totally agree with you, which is why the main criteria for banning people on this website is that they regularly drag discussion down on the "hierarchy of debate": https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7c/Graham%27s_Hierarchy_of_Disagreement.svg
If people regularly drag discussion up the pyramid, they are highly valued on saidit. We're looking forward to seeing more non-faux reddit migrants over the coming weeks and months.
Yeah, the virtue signalling is out of control, I like the way you worded it: unrealistically human. Such a great way of putting it.
attack and scream loudly over you
I've found the same thing. And funnily enough just this morning I was watching a years old news thing about government computers being used as sockpuppets way, way back - '05 after Katrina, when people were critical of the government's (lack of) response. So it turns out a favourite tactic of these goons was being extremely verbally insulting.
When you've got no argument to defend, I guess the only thing you can do is attack.
I agree, and hope there is enough critical threshold going here to spur some transfers of the non-faux folks. I don't really even bother to post much over there anymore. It's utterly useless because they don't seem real, or are NOT out to debate/convince but attack and scream loudly over you, while magic down votes come in unorganically.
Reddit it is choc full of 'people' who have unrealistically human views now. So, so many of the people leaving comments are so pro-establishment that I'm always left wondering - Why haven't I met you in real life? You know? Not even my grandparents hold views like much of Reddit supposedly does.
Totally compromised website.
