One can't set an mp3 file as a ringtone on iphone?
Nice try commie spy.
I noticed this was available yesterday, but I have not installed it.
The latest version of Cromite was published last week ...
They are already forking it:
That's a real shame, I used a number of their apps. Still looking for a good replacement for Simple Calendar Pro with a decent customizable widget and CalDAV support. I tried Etar and it just wasn't the same. I guess I can use the last f-droid version for now.
Kids were always fucking stupid. You are just failing to remember how stupid you were as a kid. I remember how stupid I was.
Anyone thinking either of those operating systems are a suitable solution for mobile computing don't have a fully developed brain. If you can't compile at least a new kernel for your own phone, it's not your phone. If you can't disable all telemetry, it's not your phone. If you can't stop emergency services from forcing your phone from sending geo location data, it's not your phone.
No, what these teens have -- Android or iOS -- is a voluntary spy device. It would be hilarious if it were revealed in 50 years that the i actually stands for "eye", instead of I, and was invented by the CIA.
Kids are so fucking stupid now
It's not just teens. You should see how many grown ass adults engage in this fanboyism. Women even post online about refusing to date men with an Android phone. This is all really just a manufactured social media marketing campaign. It's not new, my niece has been informing me for years how uncool my Android phone is, but it's in high gear right now because the new Apple and Android flagship phones are coming out next month.
Battery Guru has been criticized for its perceived excessive ad display and expensive subscription plans. However, it's important to note that Battery Guru actually shows fewer ads compared to other free apps on the Play Store. Furthermore, the availability of a 24-hour ad-free subscription option demonstrates the developer's commitment to enhancing user experience.
I'm not using any app that isn't open source, let alone one that has ads or a subscription.
Bromite stopped getting updates also, so I switched to Brave.
Newpipe Sponsorblock is another option that's open source.
Ungoogled Chromium for Android from wchen 342 is also gone:
I use aurora droid now
Mm
That's pretty cool for someone who lives in a wifi-filled bubble, honestly.
You can communicate wherever you have an internet connection; you can ditch your SIM and depend on Wi-Fi instead.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call the rub
Thanks.
Great post!
Thats pretty fucking cool
Google's decision means that app is currently unavailable on all Android devices.
google play is not the only place where you can download apps. but you need to download apks from trusted sites
GrapheneOS is great, I recommend it to anyone looking for a more private & secure phone.
Priform Recuva works, and is free too
It's really easy. I have a Poco X3 and flashed ArrowOS. If it fucks up you can just flash it back to stock firmware. XDA has communities so you can find support there from users that use the same phone.
Does anyone have any opinions on this?
I'm willing to try this on my new Moto G Play 2021 but I don't want to brick it if there's obvious things to avoid.
Threema is a good messenger, and I was glad when they made the app open source at the end of 2020. However, the fact that they charge for it means I'll never get my friends to switch, it took long enough just to convince them to download Signal.
Please don't while we basically have no admins.
Yeah, admins have to handle subs with no active mods.

That is a tough question ...
are you a bot?
The browser was designed for Asian markets, not included on Google Play,
based on Chromium WebView
And nothing of value was lost.
It's really quit good. I've had some minor issues with file directory save location with it on Android, but it is quite simple otherwise.
One of my favorite finds on G-Droid(F-Droid)
It's the best
wow this is exactly what I need.
idk dude, i don't think you can get off the hook from big-timers like google and nsa that easily. (not that they'd care)
but in case you want to, purchase chinese products. they're the only supply chain that's independent enough to get off the hook from entities that powerful.
edit: obviously there's drawback to that method.
i use his apps they are awesome. No ads or other annoying things
i donate every so often. Tibor Kaputa is a great developer
thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this. We were struggling yesterday trying to get my daughter's chromebook up to finish assignments and this app is pure hell. Now to find a decent app that actually works with chromebooks for parental controls.
That's been built into android for years now.
"Just a reminder to all the fedi bros that Google took Spinster’s app down a year ago, citing the exact same bullshit reason that they are now using to target Subway Tooter, Husky, and Fedliab. And none of you had shit to say about it then.
You watched. You let it happen. Many of your cheered. Many of you actively campaigned for exactly this.
We remember how you sided with Big Tech when it suited your need to shut women up. We know all your talk of “freedom” only extends as far as you can swing your dick.
I do not support Google targeting Fediverse apps. But I also know that the Fediverse paved the way for this to happen the moment they sided with Big Tech over one of their own."
They had a tranny I think
Actually it was f-droid that started this kind of censorship.
EDIT: Here is how it started:
Good time to move people to F-Droid. I haven't used Google Play in years and I'm much happier for it.
I have it, but some prefer other ways to do that.
Couldn't you just change the DNS to adguard?
?
I liked my BB.... In 2007
It's decentralised.
How is this different from fdroid?
