Every bit of novel information I get energizes me. I find the whole study of corruption and the levers of power fascinating. Granted I have no kids or serious stakes in the game, but I'm still a part of humanity and care about the future of all life on Earth.

Similar situation: I use what I know to trade the markets, it's fun and profitable, so there's always a silver (pun intended) lining to all the destructiveness I discover.

I also have zero qualms about using my knowledge of destructive, anti-human assholes' plans to make a quick buck on the markets. No worries, if I get really rich, I'll do something very GOOD with it. Meantime, paying for house renovations is good enough for me.

So one way or another, none of it is getting to me psychologically. Well, that's without accounting for the lack of any real psychological component to my being to begin with, but it works out all the same.

Perhaps I've had too easy a life but I'm not smart/motivated enough to chase after money in the least. It's most definitely a weakness of mine. Things should change for me though once I finish my first draft, if I could set aside another few months. Either change or failure and try try again.

Yeshua didn't. "The Way" is that you follow in faith. Walk outside and be one with God. A money bag in one hand and the cloths on your body. No food, nothing else. Everything will sort itself out if you trust onto God and follow Yeshua's teachings. Of course, salvation does not need to come from something so extreme, but I've seen it be done and I believe the people who do it are some of the greatest most humble of persons. They have some sixth sense; seeing syncronicities and allowing God to act through others when your need something most.

I don't need God.

"Everything will sort itself out"

Sounds Zen to me. Despite my human frailties and failings, I'm generally pretty Zen. I lost a dozen years to Big Pharma but it's coming back. Before that I've lived with money and without. The Universe provides or you go without.

My university Zen Buddhism prof wrote books about Jesus travelling East and studying Buddhism between childhood and his adulthood.

Well, even if he didn't travel east, he could have, his philosophy was that of love. And that is something lacking in western societies.

I think if everyone meditates unto God, eventually he will speak to you. Or if you simply follow Yeshua, you will understand why people follow him. It is because through their faith they start to see indescribable synchronicities that cannot be explained by mere coincidence.
