Yeah, she's young, cute, and I'm not planning to watch the new Disney Snow White movie.

But, creative juices are flowing and I'd suggest this young woman play one of the spouse protagonists, even a gay or asexual spouse protagonists, in a reboot of "The Honeymooners" TV show, except this time through the lens of the a working-class milieu (instead of what the million-laughs original was portraying.) The Ralph Kramden character (i.e. perhaps this young lady or Ryan Gosling) could really smack the spouse around instead of just talking about it, there could be an "encounters with fentanyl" episode, problems at work, problems paying the bills, medical debt and bankruptcy, children, hetero romance story arcs, loneliness and alienation, social media addition, becoming an influencer and potentially having zero success or fleeting success, people of different religious backgrounds affecting the protagonists or their families/friends positively or negatively, etc.

I liked all the Disney movies when I was a child. I met people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds as soon as I first went to school. I met many more throughout my life. I don't feel like I'm a copy or imitation of their backgrounds or even those of my "categories." Most people are much more complicated or unique than stereotypes of bigots or the woke.

I've watched a lot of Critical Drinker videos, as well as similar YT content creators. I don't agree with any of them on all things, e.g. Barbie, which I have not watched and feel no great need to assume it's all bad -- women friends say otherwise, they really like the Barbie movie -- or see it myself. I believe Disney is doing formulaic cash-grabs using existing IP, where part of the formula is to present some wokeness, or a lot of wokeness, while being willing to re-tell the story in a very different way, and not Rashomon-like use of different perspectives. For most of these products and most of their potential audience members, it's a matter of tricking the audience into signing up to see their product, as well as having them put up with what they decided to fill their product with.

I've seen two modernization movie versions of Shakespeare, one was Romeo and Juliet from a couple decades ago, and then another was a Spike Lee show about Chicago gangs. I thought the Spike Lee movie was entertaining (even if I never understand much original or modern-world Shakespeare) while the Romeo and Juliet modernization was forgettable, incomprehensible, not offensive but at least dull to someone of my ethnic/cultural/age background. I think of the Disney remakes in a similar way. Maybe someone will take up the cause of remaking Arnold Schwarzenegger's first Predator movie, except this time with an intentionally badly animated/CGI and an all-female cast. Or some Ursula Le Guin adaptations, with dark-skinned protagonists? Film adaptations of Frank Miller's graphic novels for Martha Washington or Hard Boiled?
