My dad once saw that shit live right in front of him. There's a bit of a story behind it so just read me for a bit:

I like downhill mountainbiking so every Summer I go to a couple of mountain resorts that are like 2-3h away from home to go up the mountain with the chairlift/gondola and then go down the trails. Sadly, none of my friends or family likes that stuff so I usually go alone. Sometimes, my dad goes with me and just walks around the mountain and forest for a few hours.

This one time, my dad decided to take the gondola up to the almost-peak of the mountain and then walk up to the actual peak as a lot of people do (easy stuff to do). He saw me start riding down and then he headed there trailing a family (dad, mom and 2 kids) by like 50m. When he could already see the peak, the dad of that family suddenly dropped to the ground without any sort of warning. Some dude nearby knew CPR and tried to revive him for a few minutes to no effect. The medical helicopter arrived like 10 minutes later and the personnel could only confirm his death.

Shit's that weird. One day you might gonna drop dead and nobody will understand why.

The full "motorbike breakdown" of the crash would be that, while he starts the corner quite nicely, he probably used a bit too much front brake, which caused the front wheel to tuck but not tuck far enough into causing an immediate lowside crash that would've put them AWAY from the truck. Instead, the tucking of the front wheel caused the motorbike to turn much harder and INTO the truck.

That's not a bad position at all. The most important thing is to break the water with your feet and make yourself as narrow and uniform as possible so no part of you sticks out and receives a heavy impact.

The "tuck your chin" is probably because a whole lot of dumbasses tend to look up, which would cause them to break a bit of the water with the back of their heads (probably not a very heavy impact but it's avoidable). If you can keep your head in a neutral position (looking flat ahead), that should also be no problem.
