I feel like it's supposed to be the bi colours, yeah. Which is equally odd as anything else because, as always, we're REPRESENTED WITH THE RAINBOW. I wear the rainbow for events just as proudly, I don't feel unrepresented by it at all.

It's absolutely still offensive to us.

This is exactly how I feel about it. I feel genuinely so upset for her, because she has this entire idea built on lies and homophobia that it sounds like she just doesn't even know about. It's never easy to go into a space thinking you'll be welcome only to have reality come crashing down.

I'm angry that she's one of the people who is a victim of thinking homosexuality is gender based. I'm angry that her "friend" put her in this situation. I'm actually really sad for her.

We need to abolish gender, bring the discourse back to destroying gender stereotypes, we are the progressives here. by Ambisextrous in LGBDropTheT

I very specifically call out when people use gender instead of sex, especially regarding sex-based rights. I also am very careful to make sure I use the correct term and try to avoid using gender altogether.

This is actually a huge fear of mine, the rise of "women committing more crimes" because males are calling themselves women. Once sex isn't linked to crime statistics accurately, sex-based protections for women because of higher proportions of male perpetrators won't be considered needed anymore. It's horrifying.

When I joined LGBdroptheT on Reddit it had ~2500 people on it. I watched it grow to about 20,000 in a only few months it seemed. Since the ban (Only 20 hours ago), this Saidit sub has grown to 717 people as of now. (1/4th of what it was when I joined.) I am very glad to see this sub thriving here. by zeusdx1118 in LGBDropTheT

I'm just glad I had found the sub on Reddit with enough time to see the notices and reminders from the mods about coming here. I was in GC and while I felt welcome in that community it didn't meet all my needs and answer all the questions I had - DroptheT filled that gap really well.

I just am worried about other Reddit users in the future who won't have that. The first thought for me of "you know, being lumped together as LGBT is harmful for both communities and doesn't serve everyone properly" was met with being able to quickly find a community that also recognised that - what will people learning this in the future do? It's pretty upsetting.
