They may bans us from reddit but we still won't date them nor will we ever believe that gender nonsense they are pushing. People are peaking more and more it's just a matter of time before they realize the damage.

I've really grown to hate them.

Yes hate.

From that Clymer asshole to that hairy "little girls are kinky" freak Alok.

This is from a former mod of r/RightwingLGBT, in response to someone asking if they're going to try to get reinstated.

No point really, about a week or so ago Reddit Admins started regularly deleting posts and comments from as far back as several months ago supposedly for hate (even though they said they were not going to retroactively apply the new rule) but most of the posts and comments were just posts stating that sexual orientation is sex based and that males can’t be lesbians and females can’t be gay men.

In the face of that complete and total ideological capture and blatant homophobia we would have to come back and lie about our sexual orientations. I don’t think I could live with myself given how much of a struggle LGB people have had over the years to be accepted and recognised as same sex attracted.

We also saw a massive up tick in reports, mostly under the new category, most of the posts reported were ones that stated that sex is real, unchangeable, biology based, and that it’s not hateful to be same sex attracted. I suspect we were brigaded by the fascists over at AHS because they’re trying to influence the algorithm that helps the Reddit admins decide which subs to target.

Not once did the admins ever communicate with us what exactly is so hateful about being same sex attracted or why it’s hate to have boundaries for ourselves on who we would or would not allow access to our bodies and be open about that.

We also reported a load of homophobic abuse and messages, death threats, rape threats, brigading, organised pile ons and the like to Reddit Admins - never had any feedback, never seen any action taken. Nothing.

Reddit hates LGB.

But if you want your rape porn, rape fantasies, or to talk to rapists and child molesters about what they’ve done in the past those subreddits are still up and available. You know, priorities!

should we try to get reinstated or would it be futile?

[–]DimDroog 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Futile.

Admin has done run right off the cliff of sanity.

^ This is the fucking truth though!

They can try to censor and silence us all they want but it will never change how we feel, if anything it will only confirm and strengthen our beliefs.

I think our mods did an excellent job directing people to the new subsaidit. They accurately predicted what was going to happen and prepared for it, making the most of the few days we had left. Gender Critical got hit in the very first round and, reportedly, with no notice from Reddit admins. They just pulled the plug.

[–]zeusdx1118[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I agree.

[–]Ossidiana 22 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 0 fun23 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

I think the increasing amount of people joining is the reason Reddit decided to ban it.

[–]SushimiSushi 20 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 0 fun21 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think so as well. Both GenderCritical and LGBDropTheT grew a lot in the past few months.

[–]zeusdx1118[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

That's not a reason...

[–]Ossidiana 21 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 0 fun22 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Oh, it is. A small group of people against the trans lobby? No problem. An increasingly large group of people against the trans lobby? Better stop them before they become even more numerous.

[–]zeusdx1118[S] 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I don't think LGBdroptheT converts people so that the crowd "becomes numerous" though. I'm pretty sure the reason more people keeping subscribing to the sub is that they also (already) see the problems and are glad when they find out there's others and a place to talk about it.

[–]Ossidiana 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I never said it converts people. But it gives people an evident platform to group up. It was easy to me to find feminist groups on Reddit, because I know Reddit. Now we need to advertise Speakit!

[–]davids877Straight Male Man 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Better ban them before the advertisers notice and stop advertising.

I think lgbdtt had more time to prepare a migration as it was not caught up in the first wave. Also, I think GC readers are split between Spinster and here, and I heard they are planning their own permanent site?..

[–]ns_for_work 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yes! They are planning there own site similar to reddit, it's currently in alpha testing and should be ready soon - I think some gc subs are moving over there.

[–]bestboypyo 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

What will be that site's name?

[–]ns_for_work 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They haven't publicly mentioned on their twitter account where they give updates (@ rgendercritical) but I've heard it'll be called femmit but not certain

[–]zeusdx1118[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This is a good point.

[–]Monyeti 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I'm just glad I had found the sub on Reddit with enough time to see the notices and reminders from the mods about coming here. I was in GC and while I felt welcome in that community it didn't meet all my needs and answer all the questions I had - DroptheT filled that gap really well.

I just am worried about other Reddit users in the future who won't have that. The first thought for me of "you know, being lumped together as LGBT is harmful for both communities and doesn't serve everyone properly" was met with being able to quickly find a community that also recognised that - what will people learning this in the future do? It's pretty upsetting.

A lot more people are aware of Saidit now. But also, I think people won't be using reddit much in the future. It's a really shitty community and the people running the site are just really bad at it, and that's why we have these problems.

[–]crypkidsformally 'rezkidsinlove' 9 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I'm pretty sure I joined when we were still even in the single digits, subscriber count wise.

It's really crazy because I remember GC celebrating their 30K sub count JUST last year, after being a sub for about 6 years? (and they were at about 50K and some change just before they were banned.)

We were about to hit 30K in just a year and a half by comparison. People were waking THE FUCK UP, and reddit couldn't handle it lol

[–]windrunner 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

GC had 65K subscribers when it was banned. Of course they were afraid lol

I know! I saw it too. I agree that probably had a lot to do with it.

[–][deleted] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

i joined at around 17000 members and it was pretty cool watching us grow as well. we will not be silenced either.

[–]Ninaran 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

This just cements my opinion that the T is harmful to the LGB and has no place in the community, really. Well, guess it's time to get used to this site.

[–]zeusdx1118[S] 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah. Same.

[–]Ossidiana 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

We need to publicize this new sub more however.

[–]zeusdx1118[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I agree.

[–]ns_for_work 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Same here! in a few months the subreddit grew by thousands, was great to see - hope other members can find us on saidit too
