90% of people who are claimed to be wrongfully convinced are guilty but are pleading a technicality.

When someone says "I got 25 years but my victim only got 2 stitches" you need to look for what else the judge was taking into account, not assume prejudice. Usually sentencing differences between groups are because there is differences in the level of violence between groups, hence why women will get lower sentences on average than men for assaults.
