The soul is the prize.... That is a true statement. God and his adversary are battling for your soul. God fights for you, because of his love for you. You already belonged to the adversary from birth. God's adversary battles to keep you as his slave for eternity. Jesus came to this world and won the victory on the cross, dying in your place. But you have to claim the victory to receive it, by acknowledging that the spirit of God was in the man Jesus as he fulfilled the act of salvation.

Look I don't even believe in the traditional god or am religious or whatever, but literally so many people nowadays need Jesus. Like I've gotten that feeling from a lot of individuals, where the thought "they need saving" or "they're demonic and it's too late" enters my mind, I could see myself becoming a Christian on that basis alone, that's how strong the feeling is. Something about their soul is tainted by the evil that lurks through current culture and media.

I also do not want to follow the traditions of men and am not "religious". Remember, it was the religious leaders that condemned Jesus to die on the cross. And when he rose from the dead, they paid the guards of his tomb to lie and say his disciples came and took his body. To this day, there is no dead body to be found for the Messiah. So, I support your decision to stay away from traditions of men and the churches of men. But your soul needs nourishment. You can get that through the word of God, which you can read for free.

I actually started reading. I swear to God, no pun intended, I'm not religious, but I did grow up going to church and stuff so it isn't totally out of the blue....but I actually got the King James app and am reading the bible every day.

I don't take everything in there at face value, I think there's just a lot in there that's very valuable. And I actually learned how to read at a very young age, my first book was this (now turned ebook): https://www.jw.org/en/library/books/bible-stories/

So it's all taking me back. Almost like it has come full circle.

The churches of men get many things wrong about God and have corrupted his pure truth. It is good for you to read God's word on your own and scrutinize it. As you ask questions, God will reveal deeper truth in his word.

I recommend you continue to stay away from the religious spirit, which is often a form of pride, where one man thinks he is beter than another because of the "church" he goes to. We don't need the churches of men, but we do need God. We need to see that God's spirit was in the man Jesus when he died on the cross for us, because this is the confession that removes our guilt of sin. Jesus is the one who has the words of life.

I recommend you continue to read God's word and listen to God's word.... continue to ask questions. God does not get angry with a man for asking questions, but gives liberally to those who ask.
