Yeah they do. He's one of the prophets in the Koran.

They just don't believe he's the messiah.

Muhammedans seem oddly confused about this but the Quran does mention Jesus as being the Messiah/Christ.

"Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah;" -Quran, 3:45

I'm sure muslims are aware of that. Reading the Koran is kind of their thing. I must be mis-remembering. It must be his divinity that they refute. (Edit: I see that they don't buy into the resurrection. Fair call: Neither do I).

Which, to be fair, is an acceptable reading of the New Testament. Jesus often says that he's not god.
