So are we, the Dutch. But we all inherit our culture from the Greek and Judeo-Christian traditions, so we might as well acknowledge a common identity.

Judeo-christianity is an anachronism. Jews are defined as those who don’t believe in the Messiah and who have abrogated the Torah.

We really don't inherit very much from greek culture in North West Europe

Only the theatre, philosophy, literature, the Olympics, and the rule of law. Indirectly they gave us our judicial system altogether (via the Romans) and Christianity (which is rooted in Platonism).

All of which developed separately in north west Europe and the greek influence only came in later at the end of the middle ages with much misinterpretation.

And English common law is not influenced by Roman law.

It’ll take a great deal more than a pat on the back to extricate any if us from the EU joke, but the UK has at least tried.
