Do you remember the ChapoTrapHouse subreddit from Reddit? What was your experience with them?

I randomly remembered them. I still remember the first post I ever saw on Chapo.

The image post said something like, "I love showing my MTF body to convert nazis."

I didn't even know what MTF meant because I was so young and innocent. When I clicked on the NSFW image, I saw some nude trans with a dick.

What the fuck?

Minor pain in the ass. They were regularly pestering us back when I modded KotakuInAction. Throwaway accounts, spam, general asshattery.

They were pestering r/tumblrinaction too back when it still existed on Reddit.

I remember that it was full of commies and troons.

They were harrasing and falsely reporting subs they don't like, especially the right wing and gender critical ones.

It was fun to link their comments calling for violence in other debates on the site.

The extent to which they harassed/"brigaded" other subs was likely exaggerated, but it did really happen.

I remember one time they invaded r/itsafetish to own the transphobes but then when they realised the people there could argue with them and bring receipts they ran away pretty quickly.
