We got pretty racist to Germans for awhile. During then after the World Wars, the US had to do huge Disinformation Board campaigns, to ensure everyone that we were right to be involved in the wars, that our actions were righteous, and that the Germans were bad. After the wars, our large campaigns ensured that history remembered the Germans were bad. To accomplish this, we ensured the Germans remembered they were bad, despite collectively punishing the citizens with forced labor, and heavily condemned trials. We did this in part, by controlling hundreds of news papers, magazines, and radio stations in Germany, to ensure they got no disinformation.
