The guy's a douche and should have just said, sure, I'll watch the kids. She should have been direct and said, no, you watch the kids, I'm not taking them to a hospital/dr.'s appointment. That's not some feminist narrative thing, that's just a couple's thing. Not every man is so obtuse, nor all women passive aggressive.
