I never got groped, but they did make flying suck ass and it doesn't accomplish anything. $15 million per life saved is a dubious figure and so is even $667 million per life saved, as we don't know the TSA has saved a single life.

They find a lot of pot. Beyond that, I don't think their enhanced security measures do very much. Post 2001 is very different in terms of public reaction so I don't think box cutters will prove an effective hijacking strategy anymore. As we can clearly see with plane four.

Airline Industry loved TSA tough since they can simply outsource their security concernes to a government agency and have it be taxpayer funded.

I think it should be privatized. There's a need for airline security but we don't need a government agency doing it. The FBI and CIA frankly should be doing the legwork to stop the kind of big planned attacks we see and they by and large do so successfully.

There really isn't much need for heavy security for domestic flights. Simply X-raying the luggage and using metal detectors is sufficient.

Places like Israel certainly need the enhanced security.

TSA overall is mostly terrible due to them hiring some of the absolutely stupidest Americans I've had the mispleasure of knowing. Feels like Idiocracy. Feels very similar to Chinese airline security which is equally vapid and annoying.

Difficulty: FBI is the one instigating or at the very least enabling the attacks
